What is the VGM Group?

The VGM Group was founded in 1986 by Van G. Miller who after selling his own medical equipment company to a national competitor, started the VGM Group to help smaller independent HME companies like UniMed stay competitive with larger national chains. The VGM membership consists of 2,000 small HME companies with more than 3,500 nationwide locations. This association also allows its members access to many of the VGM services including both Home Link and Freedom Link.

Freedom Link is a 24-hour-a-day service for travel and relocating patients. By providing toll-free 24-hour-a-day assistance, Freedom Link provides peace of mind so all the patient has to do is enjoy their trip! UniMed will utilize this service for all of our patients traveling in the United States.

Homelink is VGMs managed care division that has over 100 managed care contracts and UniMed is now in network with them all including: United Health Care, Aetna and PHCS.
